Lighting Calculator description

The required number of light fixtures is determined by the formula:

N = ( E * S ) / ( U * Ф * SF )

Е – the required surface light level, lx.
S – room area, m2
SF – Safety factor. It takes into account the brightness decrease due to device elements run-out and / or pollution, as well as pollution of the room surfaces.
U – lighting installation utilization factor.
Ф – luminous flux of the fixtures, lm.

The calculation uses the specific power method. Room index is determined by i= S / ( h - h1 ) * ( a + b ). Illuminance is taken into account both from the self-luminaire and when light is reflected from the ceiling, walls and floor.
For the light flux utilization factor uses table data.
